3rd August 2008 Windsurfing: Llanfairfechan Wind Direction: WSW Wind Stength: light Surf / Sea State: Flat Air Temperature: 19 Sea Temperature: 17 Weather: cloudy then sun Max Speed: 21.4 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 16.6 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) I was hoping for another great day like yesterday and for the wind to exceed the forecast, but today it was the other way around. Seeing white caps I rigged 7m but that was nowhere near enough and after drifting in and out a few times eventually tried 8.5m. Planed off and on a few times then for about 30 minutes got planing all the time. All afternoon the iwnd teased that it was going to kick in but only did for last 30 minutes. Sea started going out and I did not fancy carrying big rig across the sand. Later it was probably 6m weather, but time for family then. |
